Meal Periods: All employees are entitled to thirty (30) minute meal period for each work period of five (5) hours during the workday, unless they work no more than six hours and waive the meal period as provided in this policy. Employees who work more than ten (10) hours in one day are entitled to two thirty (30) minute meal periods, but may waive the second meal period as provided in this policy.

Employees who work from ten to fourteen hours in a day are entitled to three rest periods.

For example, employees who work two to six hours in a day are entitled to a ten (10) minute rest period. Employees who work six to ten hours in a day are entitled to two rest periods. Meal and rest periods should not be combined and taken simultaneously, but should be taken separately to serve the purpose of assuring rest during the middle of each work period.
